Elijah Wyman
Elijah Ebenezer Wyman is a young singer/songwriter living in Asheville, NC, who creates intimate folk music marked by subtle
wisdom and debonair charm. Critics including BBC.co.uk, Performer, Pop Matters, The Wire, and The
Noise have applauded his lyrical wit and pop song-craft. Enlisting the talents of local musicians,
Elijah fashions songs that range from celebratory clap-alongs to bleak dirges. His themed releases
have garnered favorable comparisons to indie hero, Sufjan Stevens.
Elijah has performed alongside notable artists such as John Vanderslice, Danielson, David Bazaan, Denison Witmer, Kind of Like
Spitting, Damien Jurado, and TW Walsh of Pedro the Lion. He has also toured up and down the east and west coasts and
played shows in the UK.
Recent releases include a thoroughly-embellished album of morbid short stories, a free EP of songs
inspired by true fan-submitted stories, and an album chronicling his personal struggle with kidney
failure and the resulting transplant.
